The nutrition you get from munching on a rubber tire at the newly opened Canadian Tire Store would be healthier and taste better than this dining stop.

We had guests from Europe stay with us for the past two weeks. They invited us out for dinner and we were directed to Montana for the meat and potato meal that they craved. What a mistake to venture downtown for this!

The service was slow and the waiter was glib and cocky. When the Montana Authentic BBQ Slow Smoked and Fired Ribs appeared, I couldnt see the rib bone for the fourth degree burnt charcoal they are passing off as meat. The lights were really dim, but I think they served carrots with the meal. The carrots were miniscule with the top and string root still attached.

If youre looking for that whoppingly over priced bill and that gritty belly full of charcoal feeling that lasts until next day then youve come to the right place.

A group of friends and I went out for drinks at Montana last night and were hoping to enjoy a nice time dancing. We arrived at the bar and sat on the second floor patio. Our waitress was excellent (but this was clearly not a reflection of the establishment). After about 1 and a half hours of drinking we were provided with the most complicated bill we have ever encountered. Some of us having had mixed drinks, were charged by the number of shots in the drink and not necessarily by the name of the drink. Some of our drinks had 1.5 shots, which made things complicated. We couldn't figure out if we were charged accurately or what exactly each of us owed. After that fiasco was resolved, we proceeded to the dancefloor. As we were entering inside, my boyfriend was stopped by a bouncer and told to take off his baseball cap. This was quite upsetting because the embarassment could have been avoided if he were told about the policy about no baseball caps as we entered the bar. But noone, not even the waitress, told us. Another annoyance was the complex entering and exiting rules they have that are not explicitely clear while maneuvering through the club. We were not allowed to reenter the patio through the door we exited and had to find our way to the correct entrance. We decided to dance a bit and noticed the DJ was wearing non other than a baseball cap. Annoyed about the hypocracy, I put on the baseball cap myself. A bouncer quickly came over and told me they were not allowed. We pointed the DJ's cap out, and the bouncer said it wasn't his problem. Did he imply that WE were a problem? We decided to leave at that point. We moved toward a staircase that lead downstairs and we were quickly told that we couldn't exit this way. We needed to walk through the dancefloor and out another set of stairs. What started off as a great time quickly turned into a ridiculous fiasco all because of the bar's rules/procedures. I am not blaming the bouncers, as they seemed to be doing their job well. The waitress was also exceptional. I blame the establishment for ruining our evening.
